Okay, I’ll be brief. David Sedaris is funny, I like his sense of humor, and I’ve had great things to say about his writing in the past (just look at my Me Talk Pretty One Day review). That said, this one was LONG, probably too long. One of my recent updates for this audio book was a cry for help when I had nearly lost all hope at making it through the 17 hours of audio. I bumped my speed up to 2.00x on Libby. Like I said: He’s Funny! You should read his stuff and I hope you laugh but maybe take this one in smaller bites if you decide to pick it up. Look to it for a distraction or good laugh when you need it and don’t feel bad if you have to skip over the 2016-end portion. It’s lots of Trump and pandemic talk but not from a particularly special perspective or saying anything profound or insightful. The rest is worth listening to or reading in a more grazing here and there sort of way.
