Review:
Listened to the audiobook narrated by Paul Giamatti (excellent narration). Really entertaining, surprisingly insightful.
Some crime noir, some sci-fi, and, at times, that sort of Burroughs/Thompson-esque drugged out, wacko stream of consciousness. Here though, I think PKD goes more philosophical and more psychological – digging in toward the root of our fragile human experience of “reality” and how malleable it may be under the influence of recreational chemicals, power, and technology.
