How have I made it this far in life without receiving the blessing of Bill Bryson’s observant wit on eyes or ears?

He amuses us with the frustrations and musings of a multi-decade American expat to England, returned and living out middle age in New England. Which institutions of American life drive us mad and which just make sense? What do they do better across the pond and what would they never understand about life here in the States?

This was an absolute joy to listen to and throughout I found myself at most laughing out loud and at worst grinning like a dope.
