Something like 3.7/5.

Loved Munro’s style overall but this collection felt LONG and somewhere after the midpoint the characters and plots started to feel a little too starched and snooty for my tastes. I stopped empathizing with the characters so I stopped caring about their drama. This must be why it took me so damn long to get through this; I just wasn’t excited to pick it up anymore.

Again, great style, especially in the first half but I just didn’t have the stamina for the more frivolous sequences on the way to the end.
